Tony Evans

TONY EVANS was born and grew up in Liverpool. He was forced out of the city by the (mis)managed decline of the Thatcher years and drifted into journalism in the United States in his early 30s. After returning home, he eventually became Football Editor of The Times.These days he is a freelance writer and broadcaster, specialising in the crossovers between sport and politics. He lives in London with his wife and daughter.
